Early access

Simple pricing, still being finalised

Waymarq is new, and built by one person. It's in early access while that's true — sign up and use the whole product free, with no limits held back for a paid tier. Early-access accounts that help shape it won't be charged when pricing arrives.

Early access

Freeduring beta

Everything included. No card required.

What's included

  • Unlimited projects, phases and tasks
  • Kanban, Gantt, roadmap and calendar views
  • Clients, opportunity pipeline and quotes
  • Budgets, pricing, payment schedules and expenses
  • Time tracking, billable and internal
  • Time, workload, budget and AI-spend reports
  • Team roles, invites and per-project access
  • Client share links and clarification questions
  • Optional AI breakdowns, and a REST API for your own

When pricing does arrive

  • It'll be per seat — a seat being someone who can change things.
  • Viewers will be free, however many you add. Charging for read-only access is the usual complaint about the tools this replaces.
  • Sharing a project with a client needs no account at all, so it will never cost you a seat.

Questions people ask

Is it really free?

Yes. Waymarq is in early access, and while it is, everything is included — every feature, unlimited seats, nothing gated. There is no card to enter and no trial counting down.

The trade is that you tell us what is missing, what is confusing and what you would pay for. That is what early access is for.

What happens when pricing arrives?

Early-access accounts that helped us shape the product will not be charged. You are doing the work of finding the rough edges, and that is worth more to us than a subscription.

Some modules built later may be priced separately, but the account you have today stays free.

What will it cost?

Per seat — a seat being someone who can change things. Viewers are free, however many you add, and a client looking at a project through a share link needs no account at all, so never counts.

Beyond that we genuinely do not know yet, and we would rather set it against real usage than guess. Some advanced features may sit in a higher package. What we can say is that it will not be expensive — this is built for studios and sole traders, and priced like it.

Do I need an AI key?

No. The whole platform was built with AI as an optional add-on, not a foundation — everything works with it switched off. We do think it enriches the experience considerably, but that is your call.

If you want the built-in AI — turning a brief into a plan, clarifying questions, summaries — it needs a key. Today that means bringing your own from Anthropic, OpenAI or Google and paying them at their rates; we do not resell AI. We understand that pasting an API key into a third-party system is not for everyone, so we may in future offer a small subscription for AI credit on the platform instead. That is not decided yet. Every new account gets a small trial on our key so you can see what it does first.

There is a third route, and it is how we expect a lot of developers to use Waymarq: run an AI agent on your own machine — Claude Code, Codex, whatever you use — and connect it over MCP, the CLI or the REST API. Your agent does the reading and the planning with the key you already have; Waymarq keeps the record. The built-in features do not go through that route, so if you want, say, a written summary of the week, that still needs a key on the platform side.

Can I get my data out?

It is your data, not ours, and we are not interested in making it hard to take with you. There is no one-click export yet — it is on the list — but everything in your account is readable today through the same REST API we use ourselves: projects, tasks, clients, quotes, work orders, statements, time. Statements and timelines also export as PDF.

We will never keep your data from you.

Is there a limit on projects, clients or tasks?

No. Unlimited projects, phases, tasks and clients on every account.

Who is behind it, and where is my data?

Waymarq is made by Tortoise IT Ltd, a UK company, and your data is handled under UK GDPR. It is securely hosted, backed up, and your AI keys are encrypted at rest. Analytics cookies only run if you accept them, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone — the privacy policy has the full version.

How do I close my account?

From Organisation settings, any time, by typing the organisation's name to confirm. It deletes everything in that organisation — projects, files, the lot — so it asks you to be sure. There is nothing to cancel first, because nothing is being charged.
